Vitality – Java-style regen and saturation
4.05.2026
Vitality – Java-style regen and saturation brings the precise hunger regeneration and saturation mechanics from Java Edition into Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This addon replicates how health regenerates quickly when fully nourished, using Bedrock’s native saturation values to maintain compatibility with various foods. It also includes the distinctive heart flashing animation seen in Java Edition when regenerating health.
Installation
Simply import the provided .mcaddon file into your Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Then, activate both the behavior pack and the resource pack in your world settings to enable the addon.
How to use
After applying the pack, when you consume food, your health will regenerate rapidly as it does in Java Edition. Each food item restores health based on its standard Java Edition saturation and regeneration values. This means foods will impact your regeneration differently, just like in the original Java gameplay.
Requirements / Compatibility
This addon uses Bedrock Edition’s built-in saturation system to function, which theoretically supports third-party foods as well. However, it may be incompatible with certain resource packs, especially those that modify the user interface, such as Java UI packs.
Key features
- Exact replication of Java Edition’s saturation and health regeneration mechanics.
- Utilizes Bedrock’s native saturation values for broader food compatibility.
- Includes the Java-style heart flashing animation during regeneration for visual authenticity.
- Does not disable achievements, preserving vanilla gameplay progression.

Notes
For detailed information on Java Edition’s saturation mechanics, consider referencing official Minecraft knowledge bases or wikis. The addon is straightforward to use—simply eat food and experience Java-like regeneration behavior.
