Mr. Nido’s The Boys
Mr. Nido's The Boys brings the thrilling world of "The Boys" series into Minecraft with an expansive addon. Players can harness the powers of iconic characters, don their costumes, battle foes, and wield unique weapons and items inspired by the show.
Installation / How to Use
Install the addon by importing it into your Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Once loaded, the boys' van and key characters such as Frenchie, Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Kimiko will spawn in your world.
Interact with Frenchie to purchase Temporary Compound V, granting you brief superpowers, as well as various weapons and ammo. Mother's Milk offers items to craft superpowers.
To recruit the team members, give Temporary Compound V to Kimiko, Frenchie, and Hughie. Mother's Milk can be recruited by offering a bucket of milk. Recruited characters will defend you using their unique weapons or abilities and can be commanded to follow or guard by interacting with them while crouched.
Requirements / Compatibility
This addon requires Minecraft Bedrock Edition and may need the latest game updates for full functionality. It is compatible with worlds that support custom addons.
Key Features
- Temporary Compound V Powers: Using Temporary Compound V grants you random superpowers lasting 64 seconds, including:
- Laser: Fire a powerful laser that causes heavy damage and ignites targets. Wearing Butcher's outfit changes the laser color.
- Flight: Fly like in creative mode using jump controls. Sprint to increase speed and move in the direction you're looking. Flight can be customized with a special item.
- Teleportation: Use a teleport item to instantly move to solid blocks. Crouch and use the item to open an interface where you can input coordinates and choose dimensions to teleport to.
- Super Speed: Hold the run button to sprint faster, dealing area damage to enemies you pass through.
- Weapons: Includes firearms such as Glock, M4A1, and Barret M82 with realistic stats like damage, magazine size, fire rate, and reload times:
- Glock: 9 damage, 15-round magazine, uses Glock ammo, 0.33s fire rate, 3.25s reload.
- M4A1: 11 damage, 30-round magazine, uses M4A1 ammo, 0.09s fire rate, 1.8s reload.
- Barret M82: 26 damage, 10-round magazine, uses specific ammo, 1.0s fire rate, 2.25s reload.
- Superpowers Crafting Workbench: Craft powers, weapons, and costumes by interacting with the special workbench. Select characters and recipes, provided you have necessary items including Compound V, which is dropped by bosses.
- Character Powers and Costumes: Equip power items in the leg slot. Costumes require leg armor and masks go in the head slot. Characters include Homelander, A-Train, Black Noir, The Deep, Queen Maeve, Soldier Boy, Starlight, Stormfront, Translucent, and Webweaver.
- Enemies: Various foes spawn randomly in the world. Defeating them yields rewards like Compound V. Notable enemies include Stormfront and Homelander, each with unique health, attacks, and abilities.
Controls
Flight: Double tap jump to activate flight in survival mode. While flying, move forward and sprint to fly like a superhero. Flight direction follows your view. Use the flight customization item to modify flight behavior.
Guns: Reload by pressing the interact button when holding ammo in your inventory. Shooting is done by interacting while the gun is loaded. Aim by crouching while holding the gun.
Notes / Troubleshooting
Ensure you do not switch items during reload to avoid canceling it. Recruit characters properly by offering the correct items. Powers last temporarily when using Temporary Compound V, so plan your actions accordingly.
