Mojang is currently working on “Java Parity&Bug Fixes”. Nether Update will not be released until the developers are done with Minecraft Bedrock 1.14.

What is Java Parity?
This is the equality of Bedrock and Java versions. The release of Nether Update will be released simultaneously on Java and Bedrock, – so the developers said.
Interesting Facts about Nether Update
- Armor and items made of Nezerite will not burn in lava
- Swinozombi will become Zombipiglins
- Zombipiglins will have the same behavior
- Perhaps there will be boats for the Lower World
