Java MobCap
Java MobCap is a mod/script designed to enhance mob spawning in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, mimicking the mob generation mechanics found in Minecraft Java Edition. This results in significantly improved performance of mob farms, including those that previously only worked in Java, such as Enderman farms.
How to Use
Enable this mod/script within your world or realm to increase the mob spawn cap to over 70 monster-type mobs. This boost improves mob farm efficiency and enables farms that rely on higher mob caps. To check the current number of mobs in your world, use the command !mobCapInfo.
The spawning speed and range are influenced by the simulation distance setting in your world. A higher simulation distance causes mobs to spawn faster and farther away, while a lower setting results in slower and closer mob generation.
Requirements / Compatibility
This mod is best suited for high-performance devices due to the increased mob count, which can cause lag on medium- and low-end mobile hardware. The mod functions well in multiplayer environments and applies different mob caps for each dimension. Note that the Nether dimension already spawns more than 70 mobs by default, so this script does not alter Nether mob spawning.
Key Features
- Increases monster mob cap to over 70, similar to Java Edition.
- Improves functionality of mob farms, including Enderman farms.
- Mob spawning speed and distance scale with simulation distance settings.
- Separate mob caps for each game dimension.
- Compatible with multiplayer worlds and realms.
Notes / Troubleshooting
There is a minor issue affecting the trial chambers, which will be addressed in a future update. Users should be cautious about enabling this mod on devices with limited processing power, as the increased mob count may cause performance issues.
