Optidium
26.05.2026
Optidium is a highly refined optimization texture pack designed specifically for Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Android devices. Built to boost FPS by reducing GPU, CPU, and VRAM loads, it delivers smooth gameplay even on low-end hardware. This pack focuses on functional improvements rather than superficial changes, making it ideal for PvP and competitive play.
Installation / How to Use
1. Download the Optidium .mcpack file to your device.
2. Open the file; Minecraft will automatically import the pack.
3. In Minecraft, navigate to Settings > Global Resources and activate Optidium.
4. Click the gear icon on the pack and select your preferred Render Distance Level (RDL) subpack. If unsure, start with RDL 6.
5. Join your server and experience the improved performance.
Requirements / Compatibility
This pack requires Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.13 or later.
It is optimized for Android devices running non-RenderDragon versions of the game and works best on PvP servers like CubeCraft, Mineplex, and Lifeboat.
Optidium is specifically crafted to perform well on low-end devices, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of hardware.
Key Features
Textures
- All textures are sharp 16×16 resolution, optimized for PvP with zero noise.
- Item and block textures are streamlined to save memory and improve clarity.
- Complete set of optimized nether portal textures for full coverage.
Particles
- More than 184 particle JSON files are disabled at the engine level to eliminate particle overhead.
- Particle sprite sheets are optimized to reduce VRAM usage.
- Removes visual effects such as campfire smoke, splash entities, and water wakes to maximize FPS during combat.
Shader Optimizations
- Uses GLSL Sodium shaders with a null shader pipeline for particles.
- VSync is disabled, and maximum FPS is unlocked to allow uncapped frame rates.
- Shadow materials are simplified by removing unnecessary render passes.
CPU Performance Improvements
- 72 mob animation files are disabled, preventing animation state machines from processing ticks.
- Over 100 entity definitions updated to work with the animation optimizations.
- 31 entities have simplified geometry with reduced bone counts to lower CPU load.
- Ambient occlusion and face dimming are disabled for 1,136 blocks to avoid per-block shadow calculations.
- All 69 flipbook animations (water, lava, fire, nether portal, etc.) are frozen to a single frame, reducing VRAM uploads.
VRAM Optimization
- 56 entity textures that appear rarely or not at all on PvP servers are replaced with 1×1 transparent pixels.
- Major textures like the Ender Dragon and painting atlases are drastically reduced in size.
- Colormap textures for grass and foliage are reduced to minimal sizes.
Sky & Environment
- All cubemap sky files reduced from 1024×1024 to 16×16 pixels.
- Moon and sun textures resized to very small dimensions.
- Clouds, rain, snow, and water animations are minimized or frozen to single frames.
- Menu panorama backgrounds are downscaled significantly.
Overlay Removals
- All screen edge vignette, entity shadows, underwater tints, shield hit flashes, pumpkin blur, enchanted item glints, and splash water effects are made fully transparent to save GPU draw calls.
Fog and Biomes
- More than 73 biome fog overrides tailored for improved visibility.
- Optional Clear Fog subpack to toggle fog removal separately.
- Full biome coverage including all biomes in version 1.26.x.
Subpacks
- Choose your preferred render distance level (RDL) from 2 chunks (ultra low) up to 14 chunks (near maximum).
- Clear Fog subpack available for toggling fog effects independently.
Notes / Troubleshooting
The pack is intended for use with non-RenderDragon Android versions of Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.13.
For best performance, stack Optidium above any other resource packs in your global resources list.
Recommended render distance is 4 chunks for low-end devices such as those with Helio G35 processors and 3GB of RAM.
Two variants are available: a clean base build and a version with smaller item textures for improved visibility and reduced screen clutter.
All animated textures are frozen on frame 0 without reducing texture resolution, preserving visual clarity while improving performance.
