Natural Structures Redone

Natural Structures Redone enhances Minecraft worlds by introducing subtle natural details like sticks, bushes, and diverse foliage that enrich the environment without disrupting vanilla world generation. This addon updates biomes progressively, adding new plants, textures, and biome-specific features to bring more life and variety to your adventures.

Installation / How to Use

Install the addon through your Minecraft Bedrock Edition addons menu. Once enabled, Natural Structures Redone integrates seamlessly with world generation, dispersing new plants, bushes, and natural items across various biomes. Explore different climates to discover biome-specific foliage and items appearing naturally on the ground.

Requirements / Compatibility

This addon is designed for Minecraft Bedrock Edition and works alongside standard world generation without conflicts. It is compatible with visual enhancement packs like Vibrant Visuals, which some textures support for improved appearance. Ensure your Minecraft version supports addons for best results.

Key Features

  • Biome-Specific Foliage: Each biome receives unique plants, such as flowering barrel cacti in deserts, pine needles in taigas, and blooming desert weeds.
  • Texture Overhaul: Complete redesign of textures from prior versions, with many blocks supporting Vibrant Visuals for richer visuals. Bioluminescent moss now features animated textures.
  • New Biomes: Added biomes include Green Clover Rivers, Red Root Floater Rivers, Desert Poppy Fields, Muhly Plains, Rocky Forest Clearings, and Volcanic Beaches, each with exclusive plant life and natural decorations.
  • Beachside Update: Introduces new grass variants, seashells that can be ground into bonemeal, kelp clumps, beach pebbles yielding polished stones, succulents craftable into cactus, and driftwood spawning along shores and ocean floors. Bioluminescent moss can also appear on beaches.
  • Stone Beaches: Unique bushes, abundant rock formations for pebbles, ice succulents, and tuff blocks populate stone beach biomes.
  • Ocean Floor Features: Shells, pebbles, driftwood, and bones randomly generate on the ocean floor, adding detail to underwater exploration.
  • River Enhancements: New flowers like primroses and water lilies, plus aquatic plants such as rotala that can be processed into roots and paper, adorn riverbanks and riverbeds.
  • Cold Biomes (Frigid Update): Adds pine needles that accumulate, produce pine nuts, and can be crafted into wreaths and fuel. Introduces cotton-tipped grass for string, blue-tipped ferns, holly for candles and wreaths, mistletoe usable for poison weapons, and mud varieties including thawed and frosted mud. Icicles and thin ice commonly appear in cold biomes.
  • Arid Update: Expands desert and mesa biomes with diverse cacti types, including flowering variants, rare slime cactus, and blue cacti exclusive to mesa biomes. Dragon fruit drops from tall cacti. New desert plants and low-hanging brambles complete the arid aesthetics. Utility improvements allow extracting sticks from mangrove roots and compressing cactus into blocks. A new bone sand block spawns in deserts, yielding bones and other items.
  • Utilities Update: Overhauls dyes and crushables, adds water interactions to most blocks, separates stripped branches as block states, improves pine generation and fixes crafting recipes.

Notes

  • Many foliage blocks have waterlogging support for enhanced visual immersion.
  • Some features, especially those related to rivers and underwater areas, are planned for further expansion.
  • New items and blocks often come with crafting recipes and functional uses such as fuel sources, food ingredients, or decorative elements.

Troubleshooting

If plants or features do not appear as expected, consider using the coarse sifter tool or snow on a coarse sifter to generate missing desert or cold biome foliage.
