CORDYCEPS ADDON
28.02.2026
CORDYCEPS ADDON transforms Minecraft into a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the deadly Cordyceps infection, inspired by the atmosphere of The Last of Us. Players must navigate through ruined cities, face hordes of infected creatures, and employ stealth and strategy to survive this harsh new environment.
Installation
Before starting, ensure you remove any previous versions of the addon. Download both the Resource and Behavior Packs and rename the file extension to .mcaddon. Import this file into Minecraft with a single click. When creating a new world, enable the required experimental gameplay features to guarantee proper functionality.
Important for PC users: On Windows, the large number of textures may cause resource pack issues. To resolve this, after importing the pack, manually move the resource pack folder to the development_resource_packs directory inside Minecraft’s local files. This step needs to be done once per update.
To find the folder:
- Press
Windows + R, typeappdata, and press Enter. - Navigate to
Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\resource_packs. - Move (do not copy) the imported resource pack folder into
development_resource_packs.
Key Features
- Dynamic Infection Progression: Encounter new infected types over time—Runners from day 1, Stalkers at day 7, Clickers by day 14, and formidable bosses like the Patroller Bloater after 60 days.
