Silk Touch Spawners!

Silk Touch Spawners! This addon allows you to pick up mob spawners by mining them with a Silk Touch enchanted pickaxe. The captured spawner retains the mob inside, letting you relocate it anywhere you desire. By default, this feature requires a Netherite pickaxe, but it can be customized to work with other pickaxe types.

Installation

• Download and import both the Behavior Pack (BP) and Resource Pack (RP) into your Minecraft world.
• Enable the “Beta APIs” experimental feature in your world settings to ensure full compatibility.
• Use only stable Minecraft versions; beta or preview versions are not supported.

How to Use

Apply the addon to your world, then use a Netherite pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch to mine mob spawners. When broken, the spawner will drop as an item, preserving the type of mob it contained. You can then place the spawner anywhere you want.

If you don’t have a Netherite pickaxe, you can configure the addon to allow other pickaxe types to drop spawners as well.

Addon Configuration

To adjust settings, enter the following command in-game:

/function config_silkspawners

This opens a configuration menu where you can:

• Enable or disable the addon quickly.
• Select which pickaxe types will allow spawner drops when Silk Touch is applied.
• Set the percentage chance for spawner drops (1-100%).

Notes / Troubleshooting

Does this work on Realms? Yes, but you need to download your Realm world, enable Beta APIs and other required experiments, add the addon, then upload it back. If issues persist, it may be a Realm-specific limitation.

If the addon does not work:

1. Confirm you are running a stable Minecraft release version, not beta or preview.
2. Verify all necessary experimental features are enabled in your world or server settings.
3. Ensure only one version of the addon is active in both behavior and resource packs to avoid conflicts.

If it works locally but not on a server: Double-check the above steps. For some hosts, toggling experimental features off and on again helps. Also, verify your server supports script execution (Beta APIs).
