Utility Inventory is a versatile texture pack designed to enhance your Minecraft Bedrock experience by adding quality-of-life features directly to the HUD using an inventory overlay. It provides useful tools such as armor durability indicators and quick item swapping to streamline gameplay on touch devices.
Installation
- Ensure you are running Minecraft Bedrock Edition on a touch-enabled device for full functionality.
- Import the texture pack into your resource packs folder and activate it in the game’s settings.
- Enter any world to enable the Utility Inventory features.
How to Use
- Once inside a world, open your inventory to activate the Utility Inventory overlay.
- You can now access various HUD improvements and interact with new buttons and slots added by the pack.
Requirements / Compatibility
- Optimized primarily for touch devices; some features may be limited or unavailable on non-touch platforms.
- The pack includes two subpack modes: one with inventory overlay for touch devices and a default inventory mode compatible with mouse and keyboard users but with reduced features.
Key Features
- Inventory Move: Allows player movement while the inventory is open.
- Armor Durability Display: Shows the durability of equipped armor on the HUD.
- Offhand Slot Display: Displays the offhand item on the HUD.
- Offhand Swap: Double-tap the offhand slot to move items between offhand and inventory.
- Slot Cycler: Double-tap hotbar slots to transfer items from hotbar to inventory.
- Tools Cycler: Adds an additional hotbar on HUD for cycling through tools.
- Fast Totem Button: Quickly move totems from inventory to offhand via a HUD button.
- Elytra/Chestplate Swap Button: Swap between chestplate and elytra armor with one button.
- Extra Slots (Hack Feature): Adds four additional inventory slots functioning as crafting inputs.
- Arrow Duplicator: Exploits a bug to duplicate arrows using the extra slots and bow mechanics.
Notes / Troubleshooting
- The Extra Slots act as crafting input slots; items stored there move to your inventory when the pack is disabled or inventory is closed, or drop if inventory is full.
- The arrow duplication exploits a specific bug: charge your bow with arrows in the Extra Slots, then uncharge to retrieve arrows without consuming them.
- Some interfaces like chest screens or villager trading may not open while this pack is active due to Minecraft limitations; disabling the pack will restore functionality.
