Simple Hammers

Simple Hammers enhance your mining by allowing you to break blocks in a 3x3x1 area with a single swing. These tools are carefully balanced to maintain the authentic Vanilla Minecraft experience while speeding up resource gathering and block clearing.

Key Features

The addon introduces a variety of hammers that mine a 3×3 horizontal area based on the face of the block you target. Each hammer’s effectiveness and block breaking capability correspond to its material tier:

• Stone Hammer (330 durability)
• Copper Hammer (474 durability)
• Golden Hammer (79 durability)
• Iron Hammer (624 durability)
• Diamond Hammer (2601 durability)
• Netherite Hammer (3385 durability)

Each hammer can mine blocks suitable for the equivalent pickaxe tier from the same material.

Enchantments

These hammers support all standard pickaxe enchantments:

Unbreaking

Durability loss is calculated for each block in the 3x3x1 mining area. Without Unbreaking, mining the full area consumes 9 durability points. With Unbreaking, durability consumption may randomly reduce to about 4 points, depending on how many blocks are mined.

Silk Touch

When applied, all blocks in the mined area drop their original block form.

Fortune

The Fortune enchantment applies to all blocks mined within the 3x3x1 area, enhancing drops accordingly.

Compatibility

Hammers will work with blocks added by other addons if those blocks carry any of these tags: ‘stone’, ‘minecraft:stone_tier_destructible’, ‘minecraft:iron_tier_destructible’, ‘minecraft:diamond_tier_destructible’, ‘minecraft:netherite_tier_destructible’, or ‘minecraft:is_pickaxe_item_destructible’.

Additionally, for the Fortune enchantment to affect ores, their type ID should include ‘_ore’.

Balance and Limitations

To maintain game balance, certain blocks cannot be mined in bulk with these hammers. For example, mob spawners and ancient debris will not break when included in the 3×3 mining area.

Known Issue

• When mining continuously and changing direction without releasing the mining button, the hammer will continue mining in the previous direction. To change direction, release the mining button and press it again in the new direction.
