Better Backpacks

Better Backpacks expands your inventory capacity by allowing you to craft and wear backpacks that provide up to 54 additional item slots. Choose from four distinct backpack designs, each featuring unique models and animations. These backpacks are lightweight, portable, and seamlessly integrate into your gameplay.

Installation

To use Better Backpacks, create or edit a world and navigate to the Behavior Packs section. Enable the addon there along with its corresponding Resource Pack. No experimental gameplay options need to be toggled.

How to Use

• Wear a backpack: Equip it in your chest armor slot. The backpack will appear on your character’s back in third-person view.
• Place a backpack: Hold the backpack and right-click on any block to set it down in the world.
• Open backpack storage: Right-click the placed backpack entity to access its inventory.
• Pick up a backpack: Attack it (left-click) or sneak and right-click on mobile to retrieve it with all stored items intact.

Your items remain stored safely inside the backpack, no matter where you carry or place it.

Requirements / Compatibility

This addon requires enabling both the behavior and resource packs within your world settings. It functions without needing any experimental features, ensuring compatibility with standard Minecraft Bedrock versions.

Backpack Variants

Better Backpacks offers four unique styles:

• Classic Backpack: Provides 27 extra slots. Crafted with 8 Leather and 1 Chest.
• Axolotl Backpack: A charming design with 27 slots. Crafted using 7 Leather, 1 Chest, and 1 Tropical Fish.
• Big Backpack: Doubles storage to 54 slots with a 9×6 grid UI. Crafted from 6 Leather, 1 Iron Ingot, and 2 Chests.
• Soul Backpack: Spirit-themed with 27 slots. Crafted with 8 Leather and 1 Soul Sand.
