Villager Soldier Vanilla: Enhanced Village Defense with Improved Rendering
This addon expands your Minecraft village defense by adding more villager guards and additional golems, all without altering illagers. Designed for vanilla gameplay, it functions without experimental settings and supports resource packs seamlessly. The latest update fixes rendering issues when used alongside Action and Stuff addons.
Installation / How to Use
Import both the behavior and resource packs into your Minecraft world. Two resource pack options are provided to ensure compatibility whether you use the Action and Stuff addon or other resource packs.
Once installed, you can configure the addon to support the upcoming Minecraft Drop 2025 update in version 1.21.100 by selecting the appropriate option in the behavior pack settings.
Requirements / Compatibility
- Compatible with Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.100 and above.
- No experimental gameplay features are required.
- Fully compatible with any resource pack.
- Supports integration with the Action and Stuff addon.
Key Features
Enhanced Weaponry
- Catapult: Launches blocks including bricks, TNT, melons, pumpkins, magma blocks, obsidian, and cobblestone.
- Potato Cannon: Shoots potatoes and explosive potatoes; requires manual reloading by adding gunpowder followed by the projectile.
- Big Potato Cannon: Functions like the potato cannon but with automatic reloading; includes two 2-slot inventories for gunpowder and projectiles.
Note: All weaponry can be retrieved using the Get-Back Hammer.
Team Management Tools
- Team Book: Allows players and their soldiers to join a team. Soldiers must be tamed and identified to join. To engage other teams, soldiers need to be set to kill player mode.
- Identification Soldier Card: Identifies tamed soldiers and golems, preventing damage to their owner and cancelling hostile targeting if the owner is nearby (especially for ranged units).
- Team Call Horn: Summons only the owner’s tamed and named villager units.
- Team Attack Horn: Toggles all owned units between kill player mode and normal mode. Crafted by combining the Team Call Horn with red dye.
- Team Stand Horn: Switches all owned units between stationary mode and normal movement. Crafted by combining the Team Call Horn with green dye.
Unit Control Items
- Command Flag: Used to gather all villager soldier units and interact with them. Available from the mysterious merchant.
- Melee Banner Summoner: Summons melee units. Sold by the mysterious merchant.
- Ranged Banner Summoner: Summons ranged units. Also sold by the mysterious merchant.
- Copper Wrench: Repairs and converts tamed bronze golems back into item form.
- Get-Back Hammer: Retrieves any tamed golem into item form and is used to build catapults; can be equipped by villager builders.
New Villager Types
- Free Handle Villager: Acts as a liaison between vanilla villagers and soldier units, capable of sharing bread with vanilla villagers.
- Villager Builder: Constructs advanced structures such as catapults and futuristic devices rather than houses.
- Villager Clumper: Functions as a tortoise breeder, feeding and cleaning tortoise enclosures.
- Miner Trader: A free villager specializing in mining and player trade.
- Villager Soldiers: All soldier units can be tamed using emeralds and commanded via banners held by the player.
- Villager Melee: Equipped with customizable armor, swords, axes, and shields; giving a villager a sword or axe transforms them into a melee soldier.
- Villager Ranged: Customizable armor and weapons; uses bows or crossbows (cannot use shields); giving a villager a bow or crossbow makes them a ranged soldier.
- Villager Cavalry: Customizable armor, weapons, and horse armor (excluding leather); assigning a banner makes them a captain; giving a melee villager a saddled horse promotes to cavalry.
- Villager Camel: Similar to cavalry but uses saddled camels and allows a ranged soldier to ride along; banners assign captain roles.
- Steed and Camel War Mounts: Available from the mysterious trader, trade rates vary.
- Free Handle Paper: Converts villagers into free handle villagers who can become any special villager or soldier type.
- Discharge Letter: Reverts soldiers back into normal villagers when given.
Golem Units
- Rock Tortoise: Eats stone and deepslate, excreting minerals such as iron, copper, and diamonds.
- Iron Golem Guard: Can be tamed using emeralds and serves as a dedicated village protector.
- Bamboo Turret: Available in untamed and tamed versions; offers ranged defense.
- Melon Golem: Both tameable and untamed forms; provides additional defense.
- Copper Golem: Unlike the mob vote concept, cannot press buttons or oxidize; serves as an item carrier and will return items to its owner; tameable but does not follow the player.
- Copper Watcher: A special guard golem equipped with long-range weapons and armor; tameable.
- Shooter Golem: A rapid-fire sentry that launches multiple arrows over long distances; tameable.
- Minecart Shooter: A mobile ranged golem mounted on a minecart; tameable.
- Hay Golem: An agricultural helper that assists with harvesting and growing crops; tameable.
