Realistic Survival [Achievement friendly] enhances Minecraft gameplay by introducing hydration and temperature survival mechanics. Players must carefully manage their thirst and body temperature, making use of water sources, clothing, and shelter to endure harsh environments. This addon adds immersive challenges by requiring players to stay hydrated and adapt to temperature extremes.

Installation

To use this addon, import both the resource and behavior packs into your Minecraft game. Ensure all experimental gameplay features are enabled before starting your world to activate the addon correctly.

How to Use

Hydration System

There are two types of water bottles: unpurified and purified.

• Unpurified Water Bottle: Fill a glass bottle by tapping on water while holding it. Drinking unpurified water causes poison effects. You can use unpurified water to craft potions or cook it to purify.
• Purified Water Bottle: Cook an unpurified water bottle on a furnace or campfire to convert it into purified water, which is safe to drink and quenches thirst without negative effects.

Canteen

The canteen is a portable water container crafted from leather, allowing you to carry water conveniently.

1. Craft the canteen using leather.
2. Stand in water and tap the screen (mobile) or interact to fill the canteen.
3. Place the filled canteen on a campfire to purify the water inside.
4. Once purified, the water is safe to drink.
5. If the canteen durability is low, recraft it into an empty canteen to reuse.

Direct Drinking

• Crouch with an empty hand.
• Click on underwater blocks to drink directly.
• This method may cause minor negative effects due to water quality.

Temperature Management

Your character’s body temperature fluctuates with the environment.

• Portable Heater: Use this item to raise your temperature in cold areas.
• Cooling Device: Use this to lower your temperature in hot environments.

Inventory items like coolers and warmers have been added to help regulate temperature, but overuse may lead to excessive heat or cold.

What Happens If You Don’t Drink?

Failing to maintain hydration leads to weakness effects and eventually death, adding a survival urgency to gameplay.
