Neo Elementals
17.03.2026
NeoElementals | Survival Overhaul transforms Minecraft Survival mode by ramping up the challenge through revamped encounters, new mobs, bosses, gear, and structures. This addon reshapes progression into nine distinct stages, enhancing gameplay from start to finish with unique mechanics and balanced difficulty adjustments.
Installation / How to Use
Install the addon as usual within Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Upon starting your world, you’ll receive a special in-game item called “Neo Elementals Current Progression” that provides vital information about your objectives, item locations, and configurable settings. Keep this item in your inventory to track progress and access helpful features.
Requirements / Compatibility
No experimental gameplay features are required for this addon to work. It relies on modifications to the player.json file, which is planned for removal in future updates. This pack is not compatible with other addons that alter vanilla mob behaviors or loot tables of existing structures, so use caution when combining mods. All tools obtainable in this addon are compatible with the Actions & Stuff addon. The addon supports English, Spanish, and Japanese languages.
Key Features
- Experience nine overhauled vanilla encounters that redefine game progression.
- Discover new weapons and gear, along with rebalanced vanilla items for better usability.
- Face eight unique mini-bosses, each with distinct combat styles.
- Encounter over 20 new mobs featuring special abilities, alongside changes to most vanilla creatures.
- Access to specific game areas, like the Nether and Deepslate regions, unlocks only after defeating certain bosses, enforcing structured progression.
- Enhanced enchantment system with reworked effects and the ability to store enchantments for later use via a new menu.
- Night skipping is restricted: the first three nights cannot be skipped, and afterwards only every other night can be skipped to preserve challenge.
- Seven elemental nymph mini-bosses—Water, Sand, Ice, Lava, Storm, Forest, and Void—offer optional but rewarding challenges that drop unique gear and crafting materials.
- Health can be increased by collecting Heart Gems found in structures, traded by wandering traders, or dropped by monsters.
- Death mechanics have been improved with a death beacon that marks your gear location and a recovery compass that teleports you back to your last death spot at the cost of health.
- Immortal Netherite Armor can be crafted from drops by Crimson Knights found in Nether Fortresses, providing unbreakable armor that is retained after death to offset increased enemy damage.
Progression Clear Conditions
To complete the game, players must defeat nine modified encounters, each awarding a Binding Blessing that prevents item loss on death. These can be completed in any order by color-coded groupings:
- Green: Evoker (Woodland Mansion), Elder Guardian (Ocean Monument), Ravager (requires killing an Evoker to retain Bad Omen)
- Yellow: Nether Fortress (Blazes and Wither Skeletons), Bastion (Piglin Brutes), Wither
- Red: Trial Chambers (Breezes and Trial Challenges with Trial Omen), Warden
- Purple: Ender Dragon
Defeating the Wither triggers new game mechanics, including the spawning of mermaids, harpies, and shadow monsters, increasing late-game difficulty.
Passive Mob Changes
- Sniffer: Can gather biome-specific resources and loot from nearby mobs at the cost of experience levels.
- Camel: Moves faster in warm biomes but slows to near vanilla speed elsewhere.
- Wandering Trader: Offers new trade options and possible discounts.
- Ghast: Movement speed is doubled.
- Frog: A larger variant exists in mangrove swamps which can be tamed with magma cream and ridden on land and water. Frogs eat various insects and drop slime balls and bone meal upon consuming spiders or insects.
- Snow Golem: Fires projectiles rapidly.
- Iron Golem: Cannot be healed with iron while engaged with a target.
- Horses: Gain random attributes on taming such as damage reduction or speed boosts.
- Skeleton Horse: Increased movement speed and improved underwater mobility.
The Nether Biomes
Crimson Forest
Touching Crimson Fungus releases a spore cloud causing Crimson Decay buildup. This effect accumulates through damage or exposure and, above a threshold, deals damage over time. Fungus used as decoration away from Crimson Nylium is safe.

Warped Forest
Entering this biome shrinks the player, lowering health but granting immunity to fall damage and enhanced jump height. Sneaking in midair grants slow falling, and sneaking on the ground provides a jump boost.

Basalt Deltas
Meteors sporadically fall here, and the area may be enveloped in thick fog, adding to the challenge.

Soulsand Valley
Running while on fire causes an explosion after a buildup period. Skeletons are more likely to spawn with Flame-enchanted bows.
Reworked Enchantments
Instead of adding new enchantments, existing ones have been buffed to reduce their situational limitations and power creep issues. Players can now store enchantments and access them through a menu by sneaking near an enchanting table.
