Myths & Magic
15.03.2026
Myths & Magic is an extensive Minecraft Bedrock add-on that enriches your world with a vast array of fantasy elements and a fully customizable magic system. It introduces over ten unique mobs, numerous new blocks and items, as well as a fresh musical experience with five original tracks, all while maintaining a Vanilla+ gameplay style.
Key Features
This add-on presents a detailed magic system comprising 25 spells categorized into Combat, Status, and Mobility types, each aligned with one of six elemental forces that influence their effects and behavior.
Spells appear on scrolls found within structures or can be crafted using a dedicated block known as the Scroll Crafter. Using scrolls consumes mana and durability, which leads to scroll breakage over time.
To prevent scrolls from breaking, players can combine spells into a Spellbook via the Spellcrafter. Spellbooks hold up to three spells, do not lose durability, and gain experience with use, enabling spell leveling up to level 3 to enhance power. However, adding more spells increases mana consumption and cooldown durations.
Mana regenerates naturally, but players can accelerate this and boost spell potency through various Magic Items such as armor, masks, and amulets.
Magic Items include:
- Azsilva Armor: Increases mana regeneration by 25% per piece equipped, doubling the rate when wearing a full set.
- Amulets: Provide spell-related bonuses in the offhand but require periodic crafting renewal. Types include Sparkling, Blazing, Shivering, and Altered Amulets, each offering different effects like mana regeneration boosts, cooldown adjustments, or spell damage increases.
- Elemental Masks: Helmet items that amplify damage of specific elemental spells by 1.5x and reduce damage from opposing elements. Masks correspond to Fire, Ice, Air, Earth, and Electric elements.
While Mana is a sixth element, there are no masks that alter its damage.
Management of magical items and spells involves special blocks:
- Spell Manager: Crafted from wood and wool, it allows players to dye Spellbooks, reorder spells within them, and research unknown spells to reveal their effects.
- Spellcrafter: Located in the Sparkling Tower structure, this block cannot be crafted normally and requires recharging using a Sparkling Crystal given to the Mage. It repairs scroll durability, transfers scroll spells into Spellbooks, empties Spellbooks, and enables spell leveling.
- Reforged Spellcrafter: A craftable upgrade that offers the same functions as the Spellcrafter but can be refueled without the Mage.
- Scroll Crafter: Used to create spell scrolls by combining blank scrolls with specific materials, recipes for which must be learned by discovering scrolls or reading Ancient Texts.
New Mobs
Myths & Magic adds a variety of passive and hostile creatures, each with unique behaviors and roles in the world.
The Mage
Residing atop the Sparkling Tower, the Mage is a powerful guardian overseeing the Spellcrafter. The Mage can recharge the Spellcrafter using Sparkling Crystals and will defend it fiercely if threatened.
The Booze
A friendly potion-like mob found imprisoned in Coven Ruins. After freeing it and defeating nearby witches, players can feed the Booze specific items to create magical potions that can be bottled. It also drops Spell Charges that apply active potion effects to targets when thrown.
Some potion recipes include combinations of nether wart with items such as magma cream, pufferfish, golden carrots, and others to produce effects like Fire Resistance, Water Breathing, Invisibility, and more.
Flickerwick
Small, adorable creatures that can be crafted or found dormant and activated with flint and steel. They emit light and have variants that burn with Soul Fire, Copper, or Sparkling Fire. Their lifespan can be extended with honeycomb, granting beneficial effects.
Slushbuckler
Massive, gentle giants found in snowy biomes that consume ice. Feeding them Popsicles triggers a snowstorm and creates Permafrost, a magical ice used in Ice Spells. Players can also benefit from eating Popsicles, which provide minor healing and fire resistance.
Mymik
Hostile monsters lurking inside the Sanctuary, known for their long arms that can grab players from a distance and stealing items from their inventory during attacks. Stolen items are returned upon the Mymik’s defeat.
Sacred Statue
A formidable mini-boss guarding the Sanctuary’s end. Highly resistant to most damage types except pickaxes, it performs a devastating Slam Attack indicated by surrounding red magic. Combat strategy involves using pickaxes instead of traditional weapons.
Chill
A zombie variant found in snowy biomes that inflicts weakness with frosty attacks. Occasionally seen mounted on a zombified Stray Polar Bear, which can be tamed and ridden once the Chill is defeated.
Sanguine Spider
A vampiric spider found under Y-level 0 caves with invisibility abilities and enhanced attack power. Upon defeat, it drops Vampire Fangs used to craft the Fangangler weapon capable of close strikes and ranged attacks.
Scrubel
Desert-dwelling thieves disguised as cacti that guard treasure piles. They attack intruders and can pick up and use items found. Players can tame Scrubels with water bottles to have them defend against hostile mobs.
Additional Content
Alongside mobs and magic, the add-on introduces various new items such as Sparkling Shards and Crystals used for crafting magical tools and light sources, Blaze Souls for fire magic, and new weaponry including halberds.
