Expansive Biomes introduces over 18 unique biomes to enrich your Minecraft Bedrock world, offering fresh landscapes to discover while maintaining a semi-vanilla aesthetic. Alongside diverse new biomes, the addon adds a variety of mobs, tools, armor, and blocks to enhance gameplay and exploration.

Installation / How to Use

To experience Expansive Biomes, ensure the addon is properly imported and activated in your Minecraft Bedrock Edition world settings. Be sure to enable experimental gameplay features as detailed below. Once enabled, generate a new world to see the new biomes and creatures integrated into your environment.

Requirements / Compatibility

  • Designed for newer devices; older or slower hardware may encounter performance issues.
  • Not recommended to combine with other biome addons to avoid conflicts.
  • Experimental gameplay settings must be enabled for full functionality.

New Mobs

  • Scorpion: Hostile desert mob spawning at night; comes in three sizes with varying speed and attack. Attacks inflict fatal poison. Drops stingers used to craft the Stinger Knife.
  • Dweller: Cave monster found deep underground. Detects players by sound and smell, avoids fire sources which can repel it.
  • Chimpanzee: Neutral jungle animal that picks up and uses tools and armor, eating dropped food items.
  • Outlaw: Pillager variant in Badlands that rides horses and uses crossbows and bolas to slow targets.
  • Deer: Passive mob that avoids players and drops venison, antlers, leather, and rare trophies.
  • Warthog: Neutral Savanna animal that can be saddled and ridden; digs for food and can transform into Hoglins in the Nether.
  • Raccoons: Nocturnal neutral mob that eats crops and food items; can be tamed with bread and scared off by carved pumpkins.
  • Crocodile: Aggressive aquatic mob that attacks most entities and drops crocodile meat.
  • Moobloom: Cow variant covered in buttercup flowers.
  • Goblin: Neutral mob in Mystic Forest that attacks monsters and can be traded with.
  • Mossy Skeleton & Zombie: Reskinned hostile mobs spawning in the Bog biome.
  • Trapper Pillager: Neutral until provoked, trades pelts and leather, and attacks villagers and iron golems. Found near hunter cabins.
  • Black Bear: Neutral, flees players unless threatened or with cubs nearby.
  • Grizzly Bear: Aggressive, attacks players, pillagers, and most monsters.
  • Fireflies: Small passive mobs spawning at night; can be caught in glass jars.
  • Yeti: Rare aggressive mob in frozen biomes that deals heavy melee damage and throws packed ice projectiles.

Tools & Armor

  • Grizzly Pelt Armor: Crafted from grizzly bear pelts and iron armor, offering improved protection and durability over iron, includes a functional cloak.
  • Vibranium Armor: Made from rare vibranium ingots found in Savanna biomes (levels 16-64). This armor surpasses Netherite in protection and durability, with some parts glowing in darkness unless enchanted.
  • Vibranium Weapons and Tools: Include sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe, each with high damage and 2000 durability.
  • Stinger Knife: Crafted from scorpion stingers; inflicts fatal poison and has moderate durability.

Known Issues

  • Custom block break speeds are not affected when using vanilla tools.
  • Wide custom trees may occasionally extend beyond the terrain edges.
  • Custom leaves can render improperly at a distance.
