Biomes & Beyond expands your Minecraft world by introducing a variety of new biomes, unique mobs, fresh blocks, and additional items, enriching your gameplay experience. This add-on is designed to enhance the game while maintaining a balance that feels close to the original Minecraft style.

Important Information

Biomes & Beyond is currently in beta development, so you may encounter bugs or changes during use. Updates will be frequent until version 1.0 is released. Please use this add-on responsibly and for personal use only unless permission is granted for redistribution.

New Biomes Introduced

Explore diverse new environments including:

Additional biomes will be included in future updates.

New Mobs

  • Deer: Passive animals that flee from players and villagers. Drops venison, antlers, leather, and occasionally a rare trophy. Can be bred with carrots. Rare white deer and ultra-rare trophies exist.
  • Grizzly Bear: Neutral mob that attacks when provoked. Can be bred with honeycomb. Drops grizzly pelt.
  • Raccoon: Nocturnal and neutral unless angered; avoids players and eats crops. Can be tamed by sneaking and feeding bread. Frightened by carved pumpkins.
  • Crocodile: Aquatic predator attacking most mobs; drops crocodile meat. Not breedable.
  • Mummy: Hostile undead wrapped in cloth; drops paper, gold, and rotten flesh.
  • Warthog: Passive savanna creature, rideable with a carrot on a stick, digs for food, and transforms into Hoglins in the Nether.
  • Dweller: Cave-dwelling hostile mobs in Forsaken Depths with poor vision but enhanced hearing and smell. They hate fire and are repelled by light sources.
  • Lurker: Hostile Forsaken Depths mob that blinds and flees when attacked, relying on sound and smell.
  • Spectre: Ghost-like hostile mobs enveloped in black mist with glowing eyes, attacking if looked at or approached.
  • Voidcaller: Enderman variant that provokes attacks if players look at its chest sigil or eyes, summoning aid from nearby enderlings.
  • Sigiling: Enderman variant that fires projectiles, slower but stronger and more durable than regular endermen.
  • Hollowmen: Weaker Endermen found in Depraved Wetlands that split into two when killed and apply poison with their attacks.
  • Puffling: Passive creatures from Velvium Expanses that can be bred with wind charges, perch on players’ shoulders, and provide slow falling boosts. They attack hostile mobs when provoked and drop string and wing charges.

Structures

Trial Tower – A structure that spawns in various biomes such as forests, birch forests, mystic roofed woods, prairies, deserts, mesas, and coniferous forests.

Items

  • Deer Antlers: Dropped by deer; can be crafted into bonemeal.
  • Deer Hide: Dropped by deer; will be tradeable in future updates.
  • Dweller Flesh: Dropped by Dwellers; smeltable into leather.
  • Aloe Vera Leaf: Harvested from Aloe Vera plants; edible.
  • Grizzly Bear Pelt: Dropped by grizzly bears; will be tradeable later.
  • Lurker’s Foot: Rare drop from Lurkers; future functionality planned.
  • Sulfur: Mined from Sulfur Ore; used to craft gunpowder, fuel, or sulfur bags.
  • Raw Tungsten: Mined from Tungsten Ore; smelted into ingots.
  • Tungsten Ingot: Obtained by smelting raw tungsten.

Weapons & Tools

Khopesh

  • Deals 6 damage
  • Durability of 350
  • Chance to inflict instant damage
  • Temporarily dropped by mummies

Tungsten Equipment

  • Tools: Slightly more durability than diamond (1758), a bit slower mining speed, less enchantability (9), with attack damage equal to diamond tools.
  • Armor: Slightly more durable than diamond armor (1787 durability), less enchantable (9), provides protection equivalent to diamond armor.
